The increased attractivity of the heathlands, as well as of the mossy forest and moorland landscapes, is complemented by the numerous leisure-time attractions in the NordAllianz. You'll find everything from cosy, traditional beer gardens to modern sports facilities here.

Whether your goal is to relax and unwind, get into shape or meet new friends, you can do it all at the various community sports facilities, which include sport stadiums, indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, handball courts and more. Organised sport teams for both adults and youth (all levels from novice to advanced) can also be found in the communities through a system of sport clubs and leagues. Football (soccer), volleyball, handball and wrestling are only a few of the many sports played competitively by teams from the NordAllianz.

In the NordAllianz, you will also find all-purpose trails for walking, jogging, and running; bicycle paths; bridle trails; areas for in-line skating; and skateboarding areas (some with halfpipes). Playgrounds and fields for impromptu football/soccer games or for just letting off steam are located in every community.

The lakes in the NordAllianz provide opportunities for bathing, swimming and sunning in summer and ice skating in winter.
